Brighton and Hove Albion have declared the marking of Martin Montoya from Valencia on a four-year bargain.
The previous Barcelona full-back had been connected with Fulham, yet will rather join Chris Hughton's side.
Montoya will connect up with previous Valencia goalkeeper Mat Ryan and seek a place with one more of the La Liga club's ex-players, Bruno, subject to worldwide freedom.
"Martin's family is great, and I'm pleased we have possessed the capacity to include a player of his remaining to our squad," said supervisor Hughton. "There is no uncertainty he will enhance our alternatives justified back position.
"He's won a few household and European respects in Spain and played the larger part of his profession in the best level of LaLiga.

"He has an abundance of experience, at 27 years of age he is a decent age, and I'm currently anticipating working with him."
Brighton, who marked any semblance of Alireza Jahanbakhsh, Florin Andone, Bernardo and Yves Bissouma amid the exchange window, confront Watford in the Premier League on Saturday.
